The problem in the Middle East

There are many problems in the midle east, but the biggest one is how most of the people there hate us americans with such a passion. Its hard to comprehend how they and why they can dislike us so much. Why do they? There has to be a good explanation for it, right? Wrong. One of the biggest reasons why they hate us is because the grow up with people telling them that we are of the devil and that we will destroy them given the chance. But then another question arises out of that answear, why did their parents and the parents of their parents even tell their children that?
Well it has to do with the their own attitude of fighting and honor of their religon. If they weren't constantly fighting each other and trying to oppress one another then America wouldn;t ever need to come in to seperate the fighting brothers. This has been going on since before time was recorded, you see specific examples of it in the booksof the bible.
But why would America feel like they needed to get involved? The United States of America would feel responsible because (there's really no other way to put it) we are number one. Thats another reason they hate us, people below number one will always feel some degree of jealousy. A good quote from a popular american motion picture is "With great power comes great responsibility." So because we are number one we have the responsibility to do what is right.
That quote also brings up another thing that all arabs hate about Americans. The media and how it effects our lives. Hollywood makes movies about all sorts of controversial topics and it sometimes changes peoples views of the subject depending how Hollywood portrays it.
Almost the entire middle east hates us and probably always will. That doesn't mean we should give up on them because there's that small glimer of hope that they may recognize we are just trying to help. We are just doing what's right and will continue to do so. God bless America.

Many people who follow college footbal know that some schools are just picked on sometimes. One example of such a school is Brigham Young University. I know that this goin to sound like I'm just making excuses for my team but I'm not.
I believe that one of the biggest reasons why BYU is so opposed is because of its religous affilation with the LDS church. While watching the recent BYU football game against Boston College the announcers were completely pro BCU. They didnt even try to mask their bias while making their commentary on the game. They also repeatedly talked of how many BYU players had served LDS missions, were married, and how the players were usually older then the rest of the players in the NCAA. I lost count of how many times they brpught these things up.
If people are going to be prejudiced against a team they should do a little reserach and actually understand the teams position. Or just not be biased at all. Although it is pretty much impossible to not show favoritism in sports because of rivalries and school spirit. but don"t make your conclusion on what you've heard about a schools religon.

School Spirit

Showing school spirit is very fun thing to do and should be done often. Especially at sporting events to pump up your team by showing that you really care. But sometimes people go a little overboard and thats not cool.
A lot of people get really into having school spirit in a good way. For example a couple of instructors at our high school, during a pep rally, put on cheer leaders skirts and went out on the floor dancing around and it really pumped up the students. (Way to go Rich!) Another example is me and Nate at the game, we painted our faces, legs, arms, and necks maroon and gold. We also painted our hair bright red, it was way awesome! We cheered loud and were just completly crazy. But the people we were around took it a little too far and thats what i didnt like.
As some students from our rival school, which we were playing, walked by our stands the people around us started throwing things at them and actaully hurt them. The worst part of it was that there were some girls that had stuff thrown at them. Then a little latter an opposing school member had his nose broken by one of our guys and had to leave the game for the doctor.
There were also multiple fights that went on during the game. It got so bad that the police had to seperate the stadium in half and make sure no went to the other side for their saftey. That is pathetic if you ask me. Sporting events should be attended to have the aggression happen on the field or the court. Crowd fighting is inapropriate and should never happen.
