Many people who follow college footbal know that some schools are just picked on sometimes. One example of such a school is Brigham Young University. I know that this goin to sound like I'm just making excuses for my team but I'm not.
I believe that one of the biggest reasons why BYU is so opposed is because of its religous affilation with the LDS church. While watching the recent BYU football game against Boston College the announcers were completely pro BCU. They didnt even try to mask their bias while making their commentary on the game. They also repeatedly talked of how many BYU players had served LDS missions, were married, and how the players were usually older then the rest of the players in the NCAA. I lost count of how many times they brpught these things up.
If people are going to be prejudiced against a team they should do a little reserach and actually understand the teams position. Or just not be biased at all. Although it is pretty much impossible to not show favoritism in sports because of rivalries and school spirit. but don"t make your conclusion on what you've heard about a schools religon.
