Cancer
I've always wondered why people with family members that were ill with cancer will often shave there heads? I understand chemo therapy and know why a cancer patients hair falls out. But why willingly suffer if you don't have cancer?
Family members could see it as a brown nosing opportunity, but, if you're going to do something huge like shaving off your hair it's gotta be for a better reason than that! People are just trying to put themselves into the cancer patients shoes. They understand how it must feel to have no control over your heads temperature and look. It's the ultimate fashion sacrifice.
Today I finally totally understand why. Christmas Day. My Grandma has cancer and today she was really sick again. She was talking to us about how it was hard without hair because its much colder and that hair is like a natural Bennie. As she said this I finally truly understood why shaving your head is something you would want to do.
So, I just drove the short distance to my house from my Grandparents for a big Christmas surprise. I'm about to shave my head and then drive back to my Grandparents to show my support for my awesome Grandma.

Oh my goodness. You are so cute!!! I have always thought I'd be willing to shave my head if one of my friends got cancer, but to actually do it takes a lot of courage. I'm impressed.
